Hey everyone,

As the title mentions, I've been on finasteride for the past 6months (0.5mg every other day for the first 5 months, every day for the past one month). I know it's still relatively early in the timeline but given that time is against me and I'm not seeing any thickness gains - perhaps I need something to trigger regrowth.

As you can see in past posts, before finasteride I was shedding quite a bit - that has now reduced somewhat but still some during the day/shower. The no. 1 concern is the reduced thickness of my individual hairs where it is looking wispy. Of course i will be continuing with finasteride and will be patient but curious as to your advice - is it worth jumping onto minoxidil to jumpstart regrowth/thickness gains?

Other than finasteride, I'm microneedling every weekend (w/ peppermint oil not that it matters tbh) and taking Saw Palmetto, Biotin and Vit D (deficient) tabs daily. I'm thinking about upping the dosage to 1mg daily and working towards reducing my stress which is quite high and think was the trigger for hair loss in the first place.

Pictures:

Started finasteride (0.5mg, every other day) in July 2021

I think my hairline is similar to yours. Don’t you agree? @DoctorHouse
Dude, you are insane really... try a therapist or smt because ur hairline has NOTHING tô do with op and everybody already told you here and in tressless that it looks practically perfect. (Totally perfect imo). Not trying to be mean, but as a friend here, take a break in your mind... this is not healthy at all

*edit
I agree that ure taking action early (if you really have male pattern baldness) but ur bdd is not at ease even with finasteride, it seems

Sorry I know I was out of line. It’s just his hairline looks only matured which I think mine will look like in a few years, it has that sort of V shape.

And yes I know my bdd is unhealthy but I am doing tenfold better since on finasteride. I don’t think about it as much like before but I do like to help people on the forum here and there but it looks like admin can’t even keep the site running properly.
