STOP MINOXIDIL SINCE 2 AND A HALF MONTHS

My hair is starting to fall out a little more than before as if the sheeding had started a few days ago.

In your opinion, is it minoxidil, the sheeding does not start until 2-3 months after stopping treatment? How long does it last ?


If my hair could stay as it is for a few more years (I have been on finasteride for 8 months) and I had been on minoxidil for 9 months when I quit, that would be amazing

When I was on minoxidil, I already had hair loss much harder than what I have had for a few days so I cannot directly associate this with stopping the minoxidil.

What do you think, I am lost and terrified just to think about it, I am only 19 years old and want to enjoy my youth for a few more years!

No it's not the minoxidil, any gains will be gone within the first month of discontinuation so you're fine.

You shed in cycles, even on finasteride, just wait it out - should grow back just as strong if not stronger.

Minoxidil of all the hair growing options out there has some of the best research.
I have used about 10 versions of minoxidil & none of them did anything until I read the research. I’m writing this, not only for you but anyone else. So without going through and naming every version let me say this. The liquid version with propylene glycol & even those w/o can be toxic & irritating to the scalp. 1%- 10%-15% all the way to 100% is not the answer & won’t do much of anything. I would suggest 5% strength mixed in a gentle cream base. A Canadian company selling through Walmart has the best product IMO. So don’t give up. The shedding you may have probably doesn’t have anything to do with minoxidil, more likely just the male hormones kicking in.

Yes and then it's probably not even a sheeding, just that I'm starting to have long hair so I don't see it falling out anymore.

It's been 3 months straight since I stopped the minoxidil, I did not have sheeding so I was right it had no effect on me except for dark circles and swelling of the face when I applied it ..

I hear lots about a shed. I think I only noticed it once when I was 16 where hair came out in clumps. No sheds since.​

Were you on both together? minoxidil alone only does 1 part of the job

shedding is part of the process, consume yourself with more knowledge my friend
