Ive been lurking these forums for around 2 years. Always checking out for the natural alternatives thinking that something could help. For 2 years ive taken saw palmetto, regenpur shampoo or nioxin. Not a single change was made to my hairline lol. For a year ive been taking:
320mg saw palmetto
1g pumpkin seed oil
5000mcg biotin
500mg ashwagandha
20mg zinc
2x a day rogaine
shampoo EOD switching from nizoral to nioxin/regenepur
It has never helped. Only thing i learned was that it is total BS. It also is expensive around 50$ a month for the pills, the shampoo around 40-50$ and rogaine 150$ for 3 cans. I finally decided to get a prescription for finasteride. I got proscar, the doctor said to split it in 4. I split it in 4 then cut off a peice of it to try to get around 0.6 - 1.0mg. I initially wanted to get propecia and cut it in half to get 0.5mg a day but this will do i get a bit more but it cost almost nothing since its covered by insurance. A month supply is only 15$ if i take 1.25mg a day. Ill put some picture up these are on my first day i started finasteride.
