I've been on propecia for 11 months but it affected me emotionally as well as made my head hurt. I tried to pull it out for the full year but I knew I needed to stop. My head felt like it had a huge irritation even though it appeared fine. I've been off of of Propecia now for 4 days and I can already tell that I feel a whole lot better emotionally as well as my head feeling better.
Throughout my ordeal on Propecia I think I shed quite a bit around 10 months. My girlfriend keeps telling me she thinks my hair is fine. If you look in my story you can see that I have some thinning. My hair has thinned out quite a bit since starting Propecia. I don't believe that I gained hair while on Propecia but I think I lost some. I was wondering if the loss is because my hair loss is too aggressive or that the Propecia caused the lost. I'm kind of worried about losing more after stopping Propecia. It is nice to finally feel normal again though. I plan on updating my picture in a few days to show how my hair progressed throughout the 11 months.
I will be visiting a dermatologist at the end of this month since I've never visited one before. What are some good questions I should ask? I'm hoping that I will receive some good feedback when I go for my visit.
I would like another option since I felt horrible on Propecia. I know dutasteride is an option but I'm not sure if its right for me. I'm also thinking about Rogaine Foam but I heard horrible stories about that product. I'm around a diffuse NW2. What would you all recommend?
