Hey all,

Bit of background I'm a 26 yo with no history of male pattern baldness on my maternal side but with on my paternal side.

I have struggled with anxiety for many many years now and wonder if this has an impact on my hair.

Basically my hair seems to be thinning at the front centre only. Apart from that my hair seems to be very thick and no change to my hairline .

Just wondering if the thin patch at the front is caused by stress? If so I should probably bring it up with the Dr or is it just the start of me going bald. I do have a cowlick either side of this patch which I've had all my life

Many thanks in advance,

Joseph.

It could be male pattern baldness that simply is not graded by the norwood scale. Remember, 95% of males hair issues is because of androgenic alopecia. Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse start treatments.

Might be early sign of balding. I had a similar experience where a mild bald patch appeared at the centre which i dismissed as infection from an eczema wound. But it had expanded over the past 10 years which then spread to the rest of the hairline at the front.

seems like there is miniaturisation going on which is most likely from male pattern baldness unfortunately

Hey, any news on that? I have the same thing, has it progressed for you? Do you treat it somehow?
Thanks

Do you have a family history of balding?

I wouldn't recommend embracing it. I believe your dating life will fall in the shitter if you do. Women these days consider baldness as bad hygiene.

If things get worse just start treatment.

Funny how bald men embrace it by shaving it down to a zero to hide their hair loss pattern. Embracing it is leaving it how it is.

Women have told me before that head shaving is the modern day combover. They know you are hiding the horseshoe pattern and the only reason you shave is to hide it.
