Strangest thing you've ever eaten?

After listening to a friend talk about how he'd dined on a guinea pig while overseas, it occurred to me that I've never really eaten anything widely exotic. Or protected.

I have had kangaroo, wouldn't recommend it. And it felt like I was doing something treasonous.

What weird things have you chaps eaten? Anyone here munched on a whaleburger?

I have eaten a snake, dunno what kind, but it was delicious!

It was during my visit to the west coast of the US.

this one's different...

-bull testicles (criadillas) ...very popular in Spain and Latin America.

they're found in "poshier steak houses oddly enough)... there is this restaurant that brings them in a mini iron grill type of apparatus to each table... there they are slowly getting cooked in front of you in a scolding iron plank.... you turn the half slide balls to the sides so they are cooked evenly, as well as the other cuts of meat in the bbq....

they're good....

When I was a small kid (probably 3-5 years of age) I used to mix compressed cottage cheese and ketchup and much on that...on a daily basis...

I have had both kangaroo and crocodile meat in an Aussie chain of bars.

I was told that "white fish meat" sold as processed food is very likely to be shark meat. Some products do not specify the type of fish, I always presume they are shark meat. I think we can safely assume that anyone who has eaten fish fingers has tried shark meat.

Yes to all of the above. My grandparents were very old school, no part of an animal would go to waste. Intestines and stomach are not my favourites, I hate the smell.

I love grilled kidneys, liver, and heart. Brain, tongue are OK, if in doubt use lots of garlic :)

Yes.. I'll add rabbit to that list.

The most exotic food I've tried (intentionally) is probably horse meat. I've also had snails in a French restaurant.

I haven't eaten snakes and frogs YET.

Are there any homeless people in your area who you noticed were suddenly missing one day?
