Style choice: bald spot or thin front?

For the past several months, I've let my hair fall forward as it does naturally, what with the thinning and the shedding (glavin). It's about 1-1.5 inches long. Pros: hides recession a bit, top well-covered. Cons: bald spot on vertex, top looks "flat" compared to sides. Today I brushed it back for kicks. Pros: no bald spot, hair better proportioned. Cons: Recession on top, especially at temples clearly visible, kinda thin in front, I can see back a ways.

It's just a matter of taste, I know, but does anyone have an opinion? I think it's better to hide the bald spot.

I agree 100%. I don't care what anyone says, I'd rather have recession than a bald spot any day.
