Styles For A Nw4 - What Do You Think?

I am a Norwood 3 which means sooner or later I will become a Norwood 4 (hopefully not for a while) and at the moment I can style my hair and look ok, but I do wonder what I will do if I lose much more. At the nw4 stage hair loss has become noticeable to ordinary people, not just norwood spotters, and we now have a very important choice of whether to shave.

Style 1 - short without hiding it

Style 2: slicked back

Style 3: combover job

Style 4: Just shave it, bro

Style 5: plain, medium length, adult hair style

Style 6: conceal with punk style

Style 7: shaved, guard 3/4

So I appreciate some of you will think they all look sh*t, but I am curious to hear which ones you think look better. I'm gonna have to decide in the next few years which style I will have to do and I am genuinely on the fence.

I do think the punk style I cant do because I am a teacher but I do think it actually looks good.

So what do you think?

What guard do you shave it?

This style scares me because It really exposes your head.

This. There's nothing left to say. Besides, he's Norwood 3, not 4, and half of those haircuts are not even possible for a Norwood 4 guy.
I thought all the guys I used were nw4 - which ones aren't?

Style 8: hair transplant
Its kind of for the meantime while a lot of us save up for a hair transplant. It can take a lot of us three years to earn enough for one and we need to style our hair for now.

It's not a one size fits all. You have to consider your head shape, hair color, skin color, hair texture, hair quality, ability to grow beard etc.
What works best for you might be sh*t for someone else.

Post your current style and we can tell you if you need to improve it. Shook has a good eye for it. Or PM me it and I can tell you. If my hair was in your state, I would have already got a transplant.

My hairline has been posted on a few other threads but just to clarify:

I can conceal it a little by brushing the temples a little forward and mixing in toppik. I think the only good thing about my hair is that it has thickness in the middle.

I did mean this thread to be more general. I'm curious to hear which styles people think look good and which styles people think look bad.

As you can see, I am somewhere between style 3 and 5.

Here is a better example:

I genuinely feel I am heading towards that cliff that is going from okay looking to bad.

Its somewhere between the nw3 and nw4 stage.

You can see more thinning in the temple are with hair, and there is some thinning in the centre strip as well.

I feel I have the exact same hair line as bruce willis in the 1st image so maybe I should stick with that style until it gets worse.

Maybe do style 7 if I lose another Norwood?
I think it looks good the way you have it. Is your forehead about 5 fingers from your eyebrows to your hairline? I liked style 1 so I guess that is what you have. Your hair is like Tellersquill and he looked good with a buzz cut.

This is my combover:

I can almost pass for a fullhead if the lighting and style is agreeable. However, these days are very much numbered as you can see from my actual hairline in other pictures.
Looks good like that. If you grew it out longer, could you style it like that other poster who is a NW3 too and has longer hair. His looks great for a NW3. The key is density and some wave. I don't have either so even though I am a low Norwood, my high forehead and low density make me still have to do a messy combover similar to Harry Connick, Jr who actually wears a system I think.

For some reason if I let it get longer I look more bald.

The only way I can get around that is with toppik - and I do use toppik on dates and stuff - but I really don't want to use it in the class room or when going shopping etc.

Hopefully I don't lose too much more and then I can get a hair transplant before its too bad.

If you can tolerated the way it looks now, then you can wait. I don't think it looks bad at all as long as you keep that style.

Yeah, its fine as it is, but I do think If I lose more then I walk off the norwood cliff.

I don't think its effected my dating life yet (i'm 31 so maybe it matters less too women my age).

Can anyone recommend any hair styles for a NW6? I'm not ready I shave it yet and was wondering what options I have for styling.
