There have been studies showing emu oil's effectiveness at penetrating all 7 dermal layers of the skin, as the fatty acid profile and PH levels are very similar to that of human skin

There is also the added benefit of increasing pge2

So i was looking up sone alternatives that can be used in cosmetics to substitute proylene glycol and glycerin, and one of the things mentioned is oils such as jojoba and castor oil.

Oil mixes easily in ethanol so i thought why cant it be used in place of PG for minoxidil solutions?

There has already been an experiment conducted with creating a foamable emu oil minoxidil solution, using various emulsifiers however it's also 65% water, so emulsifiers would be necessary.

However i think if you were to just use alcohol with minoxidil and mix it with oil 70/30 or something like that it should work, right?

I think it would make a great alternative to PG since so many people seem to have adverse reactions to it. It would also penetrate the skin a lot more efficiently
