Last week i woke up, and my entire face (cheeks up), was swollen, red, and itchy. The next day was worse, even my eyelids were swollen, but after a couple hours being out of bed, the swelling would go down, but still itchy and red.
I had been on Propecia for about 4 months, and started Rogaine Foam 3 weeks earlier. I stopped both and went to the doctor, who told me to stop both, and gave me anti-histamies. And told me if it goes down, than in a week to start going back on, one at a time.
The swelling and stuff has gone away, and i'm about to go back on Propecia. But i'm wondering what it was from, because i was on it for 4 months, even the Rogaine foam, i had no strange effects for 3 weeks.
I read that you should take propecia with a full glass of water, i had not been doing that for a long time. It also says on this site, that swelling of the face is a side effect.

I don't know if it's from the foam, cause i had no swelling or itchyness on my temples or scalp, (where i was putting the foam)
I'm just wondering what it was from, and how to make sure it doesnt happen again, it was not a pleasant experience.
Thanks
