swimming and hairloss

HI!
I know that there is no good answer for this, but perhaps there are soem creative women out there.
I am going on my honeymoon, and most of it will be spent in the water. I am so paranoid about my hairloss that i don't go swimming anymore. However, that is what I'll have to do. I am excited about the honeymoon, but this hairloss thing is plaguing me. What are my options? Hat? Bandana? Hair wrap? I doubt there are other options... but if you have any please let me know! I just want to enjoy my life.

First off, congratulations! I hope you have a blast on your honeymoon and that your hair is the furthest thing from your mind.

For swimming, I'd say everything you mentioned will work to keep your hair off your mind, and your scalp out of others' view. Might I also suggest the swim topper from this site:

Hey Congrats!

I am a swimmer and am painfully aware of what you are talking about. I say, just bring a baseball cap with you (or a cute hat) and put it on all the time so you just don't have to worry about it. When I swim it is for training, so I wear a cap and goggles, but if I don't wash and dry my hair immediately after I swim, I put a baseball cap on until I can get to that point. Just remember that pools and ocean will dry out your hair, so treat it nice or you will pay when you are combing it out (at least I do!!!). Relax and enjoy your time there!!!!!!

I too am going on my honeymoon in a few weeks! Where will you be going? I would say that if you are swimming and are really worried about your hair, wear a swimming cap. I know it's a pain but if you think it will stop you from thinking about your hair, go for it... Although I'm sure your husband will find you beautiful hair or no hair

Just wanted to say congrats, I hope you both have a wonderful time on your honeymoons. And to all the posters in this thread, thanks for the info on the caps, I've been avoiding the pool like the plague for fear of showing my unattractive scalp!
