i have been on propecia for 16 months now basically with no success. i went through some major sheds all over head in the first year and have never totally recovered. with the exception of the crown for the most part - and it's still a bit thinner than when i started propecia.

my hairline has been destroyed over the last 6 months. when i started it was perfect all i had was some slight thinning in the crown and vertex.

my conclusion is it isnt working for me and i need to start something different or i will see the rest of my hair dissapear.

i am considering switching from propecia to xandrox. anyone done this with success?

some people either do not respond to finasteride, or have an opposite reaction resulting in accelerated hair loss.

If you've been on it this long with little results, I'd wean off over a couple weeks and try spironolactone/xandrox
