Swtiching from .5mg finasteride to 1mg...

I've been on .5mg finasteride for a little over a month and haven't experianced any sides...should I up to 1 to be more effective? Will this cause a shed? Anyone have similar experiances switching doses?

hey,ive never changed my dose but i have been on 1.25mg a day for 11 months and have had no sides,except an INCREASED libido.........1mg will very unlikely be a problem

i can't see any problems in increasing the dosage. especially since 1mg of finasteride is very safe. if u get sides, just go back to 0.5mg.

I'd wait, if .5mg works for your hair, why go with 1mg? I'm on .5mg now, I used to take 1mg but my med wanted to find out if .5mg was enough for me, he says there's no need to take more than what's needed.

is 0.5 per day same as 1mg every other day. ino tht may sound obvious, but is it?

if your talking about finasteride then i'm not so sure it is. your dht levels would be rising and falling rather than staying at a steady state of inhibition.
