Alright guys, so I've been waiting about 2 years now to see how my baldness progressed after noticing slight recession at 17. I'll show you some pics to compare. Currently 20, these pics were taken a year and a half apart. What Norwood do you guys think I am, and do you think its a recession, or just a mature hairline.

PS: I realize I'm in a much better position then some here, not trying to rub it in anyones face. I know I have a decent head of hair right now, but hopefully with your help I can spot it when the loss starts to happen.

Re: Time to start on the Propecia? (sylent's story)

Norwood 1.5, if it progresses i would take preemptive action against your hairloss.

Looks good, don't see any noticeable recession or thinning. What prompted you to think you were balding?

Balding in the family, a couple of people making fun of me about it (I'm not usually sensitive about things, but it definetly got me thinking), and the typical male pattern baldness V hairline. Most people my age had closed in NW0-NW1 hairlines, so it made me feel like crap. I'm actually seeing a ton of people in my university with early-progressed male pattern baldness though, and a few bald guys here and there.

From what I see it doesn't look like much recession at all. Possibly a maturing hairline, but then again I am not a hair loss specialist. But anyways you still have a very good head of hair.

Re: sylent's story

I have a couple of questions. In the pic where my head is shaven bald, do you guys think I have a decent head shape to pull off the bald look. And here are some picks from 10-12 months ago of my hairline.

Re: sylent's story

Alright, so here is a pic of my hairline from a year ago and my hairling currently (the shorter one). See any change? Think I'm going bald? Would Propecia do the trick?

Starting to think I have a mature hairline. I'm 19, and honestly it doesnt seem like my hair has changed much since highschool. My hairline seems to be like that of Randy Orton, who also has had this exact same hairline for his entire career, with no recession. Will still keep an eye on it though.
