Synchronization Shedding

I've read and I think I have experienced synchronized shedding. That is, the hair that I have gained or upkept using finasteride will shed at the same time. This looks weird, because it appears as if you're losing all your hair, but apparently, even stronger hair should grow in return.

Any long-term users of finasteride. experience this? Also, is it normal to shed a few vellus hairs/day?

I just went through what I think was my first synch shed - at the 6 month mark. Mild one, not terribly traumatic. The big difference between that one and the initial one back in February was that back then, the shed was offset by the vast improvement in the general condition of my overall situation. Keepin my hair at about 1/2 inch all around, I experienced a "thickening" very early. This time, I'm already there so the only thing to notice was the shed.

I'm at my 6th month right now and going through a pretty heavy shed...kinda bumming me out, but I don't see my hair thinning anymore. It's not the hair falling out that's the problem, it's when it thins. EVERY hair I look at is either the same thickness, or thicker. So bam, that's good news. Actually can't wait to see what happens when the hair grows back. Sayin' "more fall out! hell ALL of it fall out! PLEASE!"

Props.
