T-Gel vs. Nizoral

When I started doing anything about my hairloss about five or six months ago, I started on Nizoral 1%, as everyone recommends it highly. I liked it. However, I have found T-Gel to be roughly half the price of Nizoral 1% for twice the shampoo. So I've been using T-Gel for the past couple months. Have not noticed much difference; but, I'm only using Crinigin at the moment (3 months).

Is T-Gel as effective as Nizoral as an immune-suppresant, soothing force, etc.?

Thank you.

The reason so many people are using nizoral is becasue of it's active ingredient ketoconazole..... To quote Dr. Lee's website
"Ketoconazole has been proven to decrease the quantities of DHT in the scalp by helping to inhibit its synthesis from sterols."

T-gel doesn't have this ingredient but it contols dandruff probably just as good as nizoral.

YES...just try to leave the nizoral on for a few minutes before rinsing and conditioning.

I think it says leave in for 3 minutes before rinsing in the instruction that comes with the box. Now why would you not want to follow that instruction?

It probably still works to an extent. But you really aren't getting your money's worth, are you?

As a standard rule, wash your hair 3x a week with nizoral. Let soak in for about 3-5 minutes. :newbie:
