Taking Fincar 3 months - hairloss has gotten worse?

Hi,
I'm 20 years old and have been losing hair since I was about 16.

I've been taking Fincar (generic proscar) for just under 3 months now. I bought it at inhouse pharmacy which I have been told are legit.

Anyway, just before I started taking Fincar I was around a NW2 (might have looked worse as I've always had a very high hairline) I noticed that I was beging to have some slight thining near the front of my hairline. Since I started on fincar my hair has thinned out a considerable amount around and near my hairline, so much so that I hate being under a bright light. My hairline has also receded a little more I think.

Now, is what I'm experiences a shed? Because I was under the impression that I shouldn't expriernce a shed on just fincar alone. I thought it would help maintain the hair I currently had without a shed and hopefully help regrow some in a year or so.

Should I be worried that this is happening to me after three months? Or should I stick with it and expect to see some regrowth in a while?

Im in the same boat bro...im just gonna keep taking finasteride and hope for the best...i think the key is to reassess yourself not after 1 month but after at least 6 months to a year

Is it ok to reasses yourself after 3 months? I hear what your saying but I really do think my hairloss has sped up quite a bit since starting fincar. Maybe that's a good sign though?

I've heard stories from people on this website that finasteride has worsened their hair, but i think it is pretty unlikely...it definitely has no medical research behind it so ur best bet is to continue taking it unless u are 100% sure the finasteride is the direct culprit for worsening ur hair...of course there is no guarantee that finasteride will stop our hairloss, only slow it down usually...im just sittin here prayin for a magic pill lol

I guess I might aswell stick with it for another few months even if it is making my hair fall out even quicker! I mean...if I stop now I won't have any improvement will i...

If you stop taking finasteride you will go bald naturally
