Tamoxifen is no miracle cure for gyno

Well guys, after using this drug for a couple of months it did not resolve my dutasteride induced gyno. I would say there was a 15-20% improvement.

I stopped taking it a couple of weeks ago and it has actually become a little worse, so it does seem to at least stop the progression of it.

At this point I am actually considering just getting back on dutasteride (more likely finasteride this time) and letting it progress a little and then getting surgery.

I doubt it will completely go away on it's own, and it looks as though it rarely comes back after surgery.

So this way I could take the drug and completely get rid of the gyno. It's not like the surgery is that bad..

Am I insane?

Have you considered other treatments like Evista or Letrozole? I've read those can be more effective than Nolvadex (what you used). Also consider taking higher than recommended doses. Plus you're supposed to taper these meds off towards the end and continue taking a low dose after the gyne is gone/reduced to prevent regrowth.

Tamox worked like a charm for me. Be sure to gradually tapper off or you will have a rebound effect.
It made my spironolactone/androcur/fina induced gyno disappear in one month and a half.
What kind of gyno did you have? And how long was it until you noticed it being reduced with the Tamox?
