Telogen Effluvium thinning questions

Hey everyone, I'm a 17 year old female and noticed that about 6 weeks ago my hair started falling out A LOT. like clumps and clumps were coming out just by touching/ running my hand through my hair. I had extremely long and thick curly hair to begin with, and shed a fair bit to begin with, so at first I wasn't that bothered because I figured it was just a seasonal thing. Unfortunately, after a couple more weeks I realized something was wrong when I wrapped my hand around my ponytail, then went to grab the other half of my hair, and realized that there was no other half; it had fallen out so fast I hadn't noticed how thin it had gotten until I put it up in a ponytail. After about the third week of hair loss I saw a derm, who said I had Telogen Effluvium and nothing to worry about and that it would grow back and that the worst would be over after a month and nobody but myself would notice the thinning. Now it's been 6 weeks and there is no sign of it slowing down, I don't count the hairs because it's too depressing, but it definitely hasn't slowed up at all. I've lost about 70% of my hair, and it is so thin now I cry everytime I look at it. I know it will grow back, but I have been steadily growing my hair for 5 years, I was so proud of it and often got compliments when it was thick; now it's just wispy and nothing. Im also graduating in a few weeks and it depresses me to think how disgusting it's going to look in all the photos, and then next year when I go into uni and meet all these new people, that's what they're going to see. I can't see any new growth, but I really need some support and confirmations on a few things.

1) Will the shedding stop suddenly, or slow down unnoticeably until it finally goes back to normal?
2) Since I think I've lost 70% of my hair, do you think the shedding will get better really soon? I can't imagine losing anymore than I already have, and being a teenage girl it's an awful way to lower my self esteem.
3) How long before I start noticing regrowth? since I have been losing my hair for 6 weeks, does that mean that somewhere in there is 6 weeks worth of hair regrowth?
4) I'm taking 5000mcg of biotin a day, along with a multivitamin, fish oil and hair skin and nails combination, does anyone have any success with this speeding up hair growth?
5) How long before my hair feels normal, at the top at least?

My Telogen Effluvium sucks I have been losing major Hair for three years after one resident gave me some antifungal meds. That was the only thing that stopped my shedding. I have tiny hairs nothing significant. I have did all the vitamins and hair pills, I am sick of them. I havejust went to my dermatologist and she recommend Rogaine, let me tell u u can never stop using this stuff or urban hair will fall out even more so I won't be doing it again. She also recommended nionxin some15 dollar bottle shampoo. Gonna pass on that 2. I am not using 2 much shampoo these days I use a apple cider vinegar mix. Then my regular conditioner. I have seen changes but nothing to what I want or had. U can call me if you like and we can share some info, just let me know.
