I am a 24 years old male. Recently started losing hair on temples. Rapidly. Most of the hairloss occured literally this month (January) and maybe a bit of December.
I would definitely like to see a doctor, but I was unfortunate enough to be born in a country where every branch of healthcare system an average person needs is sub-par, both state-backed and paid. Researching the fundamentals on my own might take a while, so I need your opinions before it is (what if) too late, hence this thread.
To start off, my father has full head of hair, both my grandfathers passed not norwooded in a slightest, virtually all my relatives have great hair. One exception is my great grandfather from father's side. I assume, this is enough to not consider hereditary factors.
Now the things I consider important to list:
* Around 10 months ago I had an appearance of alopetia areata, which is now gone. I felt like sh*t at the time, so no wonder
* This autumn I've experienced severe stress episodes even by the standards of my chronic depression. Fits nicely in the 3 months post-stress hairloss, as it's described on the internet
* Started treating self-diagnosed (for the reasons above) anemia this autumn with B12 shots and iron supplements. Proved effective
* Having some other disease that I will hopefully diagnose ASAP which bothers me for years. Could be diabetes or thyroid
As far as I'm concerned, stress, anemia and diabetes cause hairloss/thinning all over the scalp. In my case, it is temples:
* itchyness
* hair getting pulled out when I scratch the area
* of course, the visible recession
Sounds a lot like male pattern baldness to me.
What do you think it is and why is it so goddamn rapid?
Should I hop on finasteride ASAP? Or if I dedicate the nearest month or two for getting my health in order, will it be a little late for finasteride to recover the loss?
Edit:
Ridiculous of me to forget that, but my T level dropped bad, starting I guess since the lockdown, maybe lot earlier. Test from 2 weeks ago resulted in 280 ng/dL. I hopped on TRT week and a half ago. However, the temples started to go much before I injected the first time, so TRT was certainly not a trigger.
Edit 2:
Diet is poverty-tier. Sleep pattern is beyond recovering for various reasons.
