Testicle pain from finasteride/Propecia?

Has anyone experienced this side effect as a result of the drug?

I know it is hormone related and wondered if testicle pain had ever happened.

I've had mild testicle pain off and on for years. Not to get too graphic, but it does bother me if they are being "manipulated" and on occasion they do just generally hurt mildly. It absolutely never occurred to me that propecia could be the reason until recently (ok I'm stupid) but after checking out these boards and reading up on it more, I would suspect it is.

Anyone else?

Hey Kube, I have had pain in my testicles for many years prior to starting finasteride. As you say it does hurt when they are manipulated and I have been to the doctors a number of times because of it. I had surgery done to repair a varicoceale when I was younger and this helped decrease the frequency of painfull twinges. For me I know that I have always had sensitivity with the boys (more so on the left side) with that being said I did notice some very mild discomfort whithin the first week of using finasteride.

Perhaps your pain is not from finasteride but from something similar to what I have experienced.

Interesting..... you know... it's been so long now, I couldn't tell you if I experienced this before propecia. Maybe a Doctor visit is in order.

Yes I experienced some mild pain on my right side for a brief period then it stopped. I almost freaked out but haven't had a problem since.

how severe was this pain? they side effects are for 2% of people, sorry you all were among the group.

It was mild but damn it was just plain uncomfortable. I don't know man, I'm usually okay with pain but not anywhere near my balls or my member thats why I say I freaked out.

And I suspect that 2% is higher because tons of guys post about this all the time.

nothing life threatening or unmanageable.... there are worse things in life.
