Testicular pain - understanding anatomy

Hi all, it's been 2-3 weeks since i stopped taking finasteride o.25mg EOD for 4 weeks.

I wanted some advice on the one side effect i can't seem to shake after stopping - left testicular pain upon arousal . I didn't get the problem whilst actually taking finasteride only after stopping. Whilst on finasteride i would sometimes get a diffuse groin pain throughout the day. This post-finasteride effect is entirely different. I've been examining my left ball which hangs lower than the right ball. Underneath the actually ball is a tube like structure that is very tender. If i press on it with my finger i can replicate the exact pain i feel on arousal. From some googling i gather this tube like lump is the epidydimis but i can't be sure. It feels like it's below the testicle. I wonder why it's effecting my left ball but not the other?

Now i should add that whilst on finasteride i wasn't sexually active and it just so happens i was active shortly after stopping. Sheer coincidence. I have a theory on p**rn induced erection and sex induced erection. Watching p**rn and rubbing one out - you're basically ejaculating within a few seconds/minutes of arousal. With sex/foreplay it can be much longer. The brain prepares the body far in advance of the actual act which is delayed...eg. going back to my place, undressing, you get the picture.

In search for answers i'm across the blue-ball effect which sounds similar to the problem i describe above. Can you get propecia induced blue-balls? Will it go away? Do you think i should see a doctor?

It happens every so often for me - seems to be getting better of late.

I don't know how helpful this is, but... my limited relevant experience is that I was taking finasteride EOD at first, and it was only during the off-days that I had testicular pain, so I have to assume that the come-off is what causes that pain, not the drug itself.

Depending on how long you were on it, I could see it being a lingering problem for a while... of course if months and months go by, then it might be doctor time. Never hurts to talk to a professional.
