Hi all,

I'm experiencing sudden and aggressive hair loss over the period of one year. Went from only temple recession to diffuse thinning all over, all hairs that fall out are miniaturized.

I've started massaging and noticed that the scalp especially in the worse areas feels dead, numb, dry and leathery. Also in some places has a texture like psoriasis or something. Also dandruff falling out / flaky, I don't think it's the massage since it's also present in areas where I don't / can't, like lower back of the head / donor area.

I'd appreciate comments on this, I really feel like this is the result of DHT changing the structure of the epidermis, and I think this is what's causing the hair loss, so I don't understand how massaging could help...

I plan to start microneedling so if someone has some words of encouragement with that I'm all for it.

I'm also wondering if DHT blockers could have any effect since it's all recent, basically the shedding started, and very aggressively, about one year ago. Does the theory that you could regain lost hair if it's recent hold for cases where the loss is so fast and the changes so dramatic to the scalp, or it's only a rough estimate for people how had the usual, slow progression?
