I was gonna watch it in cinema you are saying it isnt worth the money?
Lol. To be serious, it depends. IMO it does have good visuals, cinematography, lighting, action scenes, etc. So it might be worth it to you if you just want to get out of the house and experience a different world. But as far as the plotholes and everything else goes, nah. I could make a long *** review about it. But it was definitely overhyped. There is a lot of woke BS in it too, but that's not even the main problem. Bottom line is that the trailers literally show all of the best parts of the movie.

As a big Batman fan, the biggest thing for me was how disappointing it was. The dark tone was awesome, the idea of having Batman be a detective, the noir narration and feel to it was all perfectly set up. But there's really nothing satisfying about this movie. You don't even feel like the characters have any real revelations or changes. It's also 3 hours and it is a long 3 hours at that. The thing that is really annoying about this movie is that there is no context. I understand that it's year 2 and this movie is not supposed to be an origin story, I actually think that's really cool that they were going this route. But there is no explanation for anything. No explanation as to why certain characters behave a certain way or why their relationships are the way they are. They could have given a few lines and provided some background to those things and it would make all the difference. Overall, the first half of the movie starts off being pretty good - that's because it leaves you with all those sorts of questions - but it falls flat on its face when you don't get answers to those questions, and instead the movie essentially becomes a social commentary, which takes everything away from the movie being about Batman.

No one cheered during the movie and it was silent at the end, no clapping. I went on Saturday night btw and it was packed. It is not the worst Batman film. It has redeemable qualities. But it lacks substance.

What I will say is that if you are going to watch it, you might as well see it in the theater because this movie is all about the visuals and sound, so you might as well get the full experience. This is the reason people have been in a trance over this movie. I do not see it aging well on video though.

This is seriously probably going to be a better movie lol. Funny thing is I always wished Keanu would have been a live action R-rated Batman. Looks like we will never get that now. Oh well.

You are just mad that The Batman ended up dating a black, biological woman, instead of a white dude in a dress.

with all the propaganda they had made, plus the 1000 trailers version ( official ) it was something I expect . Glad I was not wrong :).

Even the fight scene, are so slow, that remind me the Batman from the 60s :D . The club fight scene is the worst. But, in most of the Batman movies, except in the Batman VS Superman, fight scenes really sucks . If you see a Tom Cruise action Movie or a Matt Damon jason bourne movie, you see what an actual a good fight choreography looks like .
Batman is an great Detective and Martial art, dunno why, in none of the Batman movies they give attention to this .

I've seen it now. Very underwhelming movie. Pattinson's performance is pretty one dimensional and predictable. Batman has two gears in this one. Emo and angry emo.

The premise of highlighting Batman's capabilites as a detective and putting the focal point on solving Riddler's puzzles sounds interesting. But like most aspects of this movie, the execution is not inspired and competent at all. The riddles themselves are mundane play of words - but that doesn't stop the resolution from being construed nonsense more often than not. Kinda like in the 60s series, but while taking itself way too seriously. Also the batsuit makes Bruce Wayne f*****g invincible now. Not even point blank hits from assault rifles, sniper rifles or shotguns can even really phase him in his fantasy armor.

The press gloats about 'The Batman' highlighting the character's vulnerability, but I've never seen a Batman movie where Bruce seemed more untouchable by anything that was thrown at him. And the emotional drama is just very bluntly rehashed and more hamfisted than in other iterations. I guess adjusted for modern double digit conzoomer audiences.

The Riddler's S&M mask was cringe and his social media subplot forced. Quite a forgettable villain without any real personality or charisma.

The ending is weirdly anticlimatic. You get the feeling, the director expects you to be blown away by 'major twists'. But it's executed in such a way, that nothing really surprises you or has any emotional impact.
