The day Comb over stopped working

The biggest bald spot on my crown was very much visible.

But surrounding areas and receding hairline was covered by the length of surrounding hair. I got a hair cut today and no amount of comb over can cover up these bald spots. No matter how I try it, it is very much visible that I have lost most of my hair in certain areas. And I was thinking all this time that may be my hair loss has stopped.

When a person gets a hair cut, then he knows what is brewing beneath all that foliage. :) If you want to measure your condition over time, Compare pictures after haircuts. (Assuming hair has been cut identically)

haha I know that feeling bro. I'm a crown loser and NW4 almost. I'm on my last stage of combovers atm. Gona start buzzing soon and then eventually shave it all off.

If you are unwillnig to shave it, your only option is to look into using hair fibres/toppik. Are you really sticking to that regimen hah? You know not one thing will do anything for male pattern baldness. Sigh...

Yeah, I removed it from my profile. Currently, I am not doing anything. I am going to start finasteride from next month. I was thinking that my hair loss has completely stopped. How naive! When I got a hair cut after months, I realized: Oh ****. So , I am going to start finasteride soon.

I will have to eventually shave it. :-(

Take your time. From what I read around here the cure is definitely just a few years away.

Couldn't rep. I don't know how someone can be so worried about hair loss YET do **** all about it.

Would you say you have grown any more hair past the one year mark or is it stable?

The day the combover stopped working was the day I started minoxidil.

I would say I am stable. Was hoping for a last minute boost, but no.

Thanks for the reply. At least you significantly improved over baseline, that in itself is really good. I wish I took action as a Norwood 2, I just don't remember going from Norwood 1 to 2.5. It happened so quick. Then I got real busy over a few years, lucky for me my hair loss didn't progress, visually anyway.

well a combover is generally a sign you're already in deep, and when it stops working then it is getting even worse.
hopefully jumping on finasteride will help restore some of your hair buddy.

you become the villian, the angry guy no one wants to be around, or the bald guy smiling just a bit to hard for no reason.

Smiling too hard, lest they become ridiculed. Theres a few of those at work. I see through the insincerity, trying to be everyones pal. Yeah, its cringeworthy to see..you aren't fooling me, now f**k off and leave me to wallow in my own sh*t and mire.

Nosferatu is a bit extreme. No, it's just that you will look like every other bald guy with a shaved head. You'll become a generic man without an identity.
If u have a visible hairline though it's better than being slick baald and just looka like you are shavimg your head but can grow haair...

I'm pretty much arrived to this point, it became really too much thin to cover the bald area on my front, but this pattern p***** me off, I have a tiny patch of hair separeted from the rest, with all the hair on top getting thin. Should be keeping my hair very short at this point, windy days are my nemesis...
