Does the point in which you are at your hairloss affect your success with finasteride at all? I am at the very early stages of my hairloss. I started noticing thinning about 2 or 3 months ago. Could this have an affect on how finasteride works for me. I will be beginning finasteride with nizoral 1% very soon. Basically, do I have more of a chance for maintenance/recovery/regrowth since I am getting to it much earlier?

well of course the earlier the better..

but heres the thing...

sometimes male pattern baldness can be very aggressive.. so that could be what your experincing.. it probabaly has nothing to do with the finasteride if it's been less than 3 months.. but some people respond differently.

but yes the sooner the better absolutly..

I started fairly late, after realizing my diffuse thinning could no longer be concealed. And I had absolutely no problem growing back all of my hair. I'm actually glad it worked out this way. Because I'll never have to wonder whether taking finasteride or using minoxidil was really necessary, unlike people who start as the very first signs of thinning or balding.
