The efficacity of finasteride between 2 and 1mg

I wanted to know if by going back to 1mg of finasteride instead of 2mg if I was going to have a drop in efficiency?

Studies seem to point to 1mg being as effective as 5mg so you technically shouldn’t .

After 4 years on 0.5mg finasteride daily I bumped it up to 1mg daily last month in a hope it’ll increase its efficiency however I’m not holding out much hope as studies say 0.5mg is nearly as good as 1mg.

I had been taking 1mg of fina every evening for 8 months but due to stress I have been taking 1mg in the morning and 1mg in the evening for 1 week, from tomorrow I will go back to 1mg every evening only.

but the fact of having taken 2mg while I have always taken 1mg, the treatment may decrease in effectiveness in the short or long term?

I shed at 0.5mg and don't on 1mg. I found a happy balance at 0.67mg where I don't shed.

You aren't meant to take more than 1 mg of finasteride daily for hair loss treatment. Anything more than that shouldn't have any influence hair wise, and might end up being detrimental for your health long term.
