Hey guys, iv been on propecia for about 4 moths now. I dont know if my hair has gotten any better but its only 4 moths in so im not to conserned about that about that for the moment, but the thing i am conserned about is: What should i do when the drug stops working? i mean im only 20 years now( jupp it sucks big time) and if the drug works on me il still be balding at 25 or so, wont I?

What im asking you is this: do you have any plans for the future? if you do could you please share them with me since im kinda new to this hairloss thing. Iv read a couple of posts here but i dont feel they give me a straight awnser

DETAILS BABY! DEITALS! ;)

thanks all, wer in the same boat!

First of all don't just assume that finasteride will start to become less effective in 5 years, it depends entirely on your genes/hormones. Some people go bald in a couple of years, some take 20, and then you have to consider how your body will react to finasteride over a long period of time

However I can understand your concern, the perspective I have is that every day you manage to maintain your hair is a day closer to a better treatment being made available, and from what I've read there are some very promising treatments on the horizon

If your still in the early stages of male pattern baldness when you start taking Propecia, theres no evidence to suggest it will become less effective after 5 years.
