The most common reasons, excluding medical, why you are experiencing a shed:

1. You have extreme male pattern baldness and high DHT levels. Mostly experienced by men who bald early in life.

2. You are on a regimen and experience a shed because your treatments are working.

3. You have been on treatment and recently stopped.

4. People experience a natural shed during September to November (Hair is most thin during winter months) and during the March to May.

Can anyone think of any more?

Does where you live affect your 'winter' shed. For example, is it always November-ish? I live in the UK and my winter shed was November, I experienced this last year. Would it change if I say moved to East Asia?

Yes this is real.

1. DHT causes you to go bald. If you have excessive DHT you will go bald more quickly

2. During the first couple months of treatment if you shed it means that your treatments are working because weaker hairs are falling out and will return much stronger.

3. This doesn't need an explanation.

4. This is in fact true. Research it. September through November and March to May are the months people in the Northern Hemisphere shed naturally.

Can anyone think of anymore?
