So I noticed at a some pictures taken at a New Year's Party last year that someone posted on their Facebook (luckily someone I nor my friends do not know, I just happened to see these and started freaking out).
In these pics, I look kind of like...well, I'm balding. I was only 4 months into being 20 (now 21).

I've got a half dozen other pictures but no good ones of the top of my head, and sadly I don't have a digital camera handy right now. However, I should note a few things.
A) if I take a picture of my head with my phone from any angle, my hair is covering the top of my head, I've never been able to replicate this bad look (to note, I don't have Internet on my phone so I can't send the pictures to tinypic or something)
B) I had a haircut that day. Did the barber do a bad job in cutting it unevenly? I think it was a bit too short perhaps.
C) I have naturally curly hair. It isn't a normal afro, but it's really annoying...frizzy type hair that usually turns into a bunch of curls. I can easily uncurl it by brushing through it one time, and then it's stuck in "poof" position. I wish I had either straight OR big natural curls but I got stuck with the worst stuff ever.
D) I don't think my hair has ever been "super thick". It appears thick right now but I think I have always been able to see my scalp easily through the waves or curls...I'm just wondering if that appears like some sort of hair loss to any of you.
E) Lastly, my dad is pretty thin on top at 47 but he isn't completely bald. He had a high receding hairline and it just thinned on top all over, he's closer to bald than a full head of hair, though. My granddad on his side just had a slowly receding hairline. My dad's brother is probably an Norwood 1.5 and he's near 60.
My Mom's dad is pretty close to bald on top, but he has lived in poor health, vitamin defecensies (I tried to spell right this 4 times and can't), smoked and drank a lot, had multiple surgeries for heart conditions, etc. He's mid 60s but he still had a lot of hair in his 40s from pictures I've seen.
Anyway, here's a picture I also found a few moments ago showing the top of my head from 2 months earlier:

You'll probably have to save and digitally zoom on that. It doesn't appear to be thinning.
I've seen a few photos here and there of me the past year, I can tell my hairline has went back a little in the past year, but I don't have any more minaturization on the edges of my hairline from what I can tell.
Anyway, thoughts on the scary pictures? Hopefully it's just my weird hair, bad lighting, my ruddy skin and too short of a haircut without my hair being brushed over.
