I heard Aveda and other shampoos slowly thicken shafts by coating them. But I don't want to shampoo my hair an extra time after all my medicated shampoos. Is there a thickener that is applied after shampooing, that just coats and thickens shafts like those shampoos, but without the washing?
I'm in the same boat as the original poster. Does anyone think the Aveda conditioner alone would have some thickening benefits, or is it truly superfluous as I've seen speculated?
DoctorHouse have you already used Aveda Hair Potion?
Could you answer these questions about it please:
1) Do you apply it on dry hair like Toppik etc?
2) How long does it last with every-day use?
3) If you use it and comb your hair, can you use Toppik (or hair-so-real etc) after that? Does it give a sticky feeling like hair-putty products?
Thank you!
ps: Are you the guy who uses Revivogen for a long time?? Revivogen is the only product that I am using now. I am 4 months after stoping finasteride and I dont use rogaine because I can not stand the irritation. So far (2 months on Revivogen) I didnt shed and I feel a thickening sensation. But it helps the fact that I am using Keto and piroctone olamine every day (alternate..). But, I would be happy to hear your opinion and experience with Revivogen so far..
HairRebirth, Its a powder that you can put directly on your hair but toppik works better. I stopped using it. It is not a concealer. My new favorite product is Ojon hydrating thickening spray. Its alcohol free. I still use Revivogen and I think it definitely helps thicken hair too over time though.
