Anyone do this? What were your experiences? I just can’t afford rogaine foam anymore. The generic foam is so much cheaper. Is it just as effective?

I would definitely try it out, amazon is having a sale of $13 for 6 month supply.

I was told by a very good hair loss doctor that the generics are just about as good, but not quite. And I think he meant this for medication in general, not just hair loss stuff. Maybe it was slightly lower quality production standards or certain components, not sure.
So I use 75% Kirkland and 25% Rogaine. Rogaine is indeed so much more expensive but it becomes a lot more manageable at that level. More specifically I use 1ml Rogaine on the crown, 1ml Kirkland on the crown, and 2ml Kirkland on the hairline per day. (all liquid)

The only thing I notice is the generic foam melts way easier than rogaine. However, that may help it penetrate the scalp more. I don’t know why the generic would work less. The ingredients are almost literally identical with minoxidil 5% as the active ingredient. But now I’m worried lol
