Due to my sudden increase in the rate of my shedding and the speed of of my frontal recession, I have decided to start Propecia. I have a little problem though. I dont know whether or not I should stop my 2-year minoxidil habit to see how I fare with just Propecia alone. Any advice?

Don't stop minoxidil!!! I started using it in December 2003, 3 months after starting propecia. I think it has helped. But do try propecia for a year.

Yes.

Yes, if you want to look like a monk in 4 months due to a shed that will also leave you in chronic depression, stop minoxidil.

Give it a try and learn the hard way.

Nope, don't dare stop it.

Yeah, maybe cut down applications to once per day, but you're asking for trouble to quit it altogether.

I had used finasteride alone for 3 years and my hairline only got worse. Over the last year, thank gooness, minoxidil has given me splendid results. Frontal regrowth and thickening all over.

Try out finasteride, maybe cut back minoxidil use but don't quit.

But most importantly -
