Thinner Hairstrands Towards Root, Is This Normal Or Not?

I have some strands that become thinner midway towards the root. Is this normal? I do have some seb derm, don't know if that could be the cause. I have a full head of hair and was wondering what the reason could be.

Hair noticeably thinner towards the root is an indication of male pattern baldness. Hair strands can vary in thickness through its length but when it is blatantly obvious I would be concerned

I found online that a trichologist said: that miniaturization only happens during the transition between a telogen and a new catagen hair. So that's not probably what it is. Also some other doctor said that's not the case. Also my hair is the same as it has always been (full head of hair) and this has been like this for quite a while.

This is the thread of 2006, User Britania explains it is not miniturization.

Why come post on here asking if it's normal when you're straight up going to tell people it is and cite sources? Seems like a waste of our time.
