Hi there,
About a year ago I read an article and thought i would try a combination of natural herbs to try to halt my thinning/balding hair. Am 36. Have been thinning for about the last 8 years.

For the last 5-6 months I have been taking daily:
Saw palmetto - herb capsules in powdered form
Zinc tablet
Gingko Bilboa
Red bush tea and or green tea with Aloe vera
Sporadic garlic supplement

Before starting this in Oct 2008 I have an extremely itchy scalp. I had had a stomach virus that had stopped my hair growth and made hair very patchy.

Oct -Nov/Dec 2008
In the first couple of months, the scalp itching stopped (due to Zinc), I felt great, was doing some cycling every 2-3 days. Wasn't under much stress. Hair grew and felt a lot stronger, stubble around may face was a lot stronger/harder. Libido was lessened.

Jan-Feb 2009
Also introduced Beta Sisterole to the mix.
I returned to work after a few months off
Stress level has increased. I don't feel like hair is as stong at th moment although not sure it looks different. Diet has slightly less vegetable intake. Have been going to the gym to do weight training instead of cycling. Taking protein supplement on gym days.

March 2009 - Stopped Beta Sistosterol as didn't think it was having much effect on strength of hair.

Continuing with the daily in take of stuff. Decided to leave the gym weights sessions and do more aerobic exerise cycling, running, rowing.

Now considering Hair transplant? Any thoughts or feedback would be interesting. I feel so much better when I can feel my hair!!!

Will add the other pics I have

that doesn't look bad at all. if i look like you at 36 i'd be a happy man.
you shouldn't even consider a hair transplant imo...

why aren't you using propecia or minoxidil btw?

again, it doesn't look like your balding much...

Thanks for the complimentary reply. I suppose I am a little vain and people have said I am losing my hair, so it has probably stuck in my head. definitely think stress has an effect on the health of my hair over the last 6 months.

Sorry forgot to answer your question about propecia or minoxidil. I am not sure why haven't used these. Guess I wanted to try any potential natural solutions first. I haven't mentioned it to the doctor, am not sure whether propecia would work for me or where to get it. Also scared about any potential side effects of drugs as have had bad reactions to anti-biotics recently.
