Thinning is worse than aggressive temple recession? Well just shave it then! Even as a ridiculous horse shoe, because that's the reality for NW4+ who don't even have that illusion of hair under some lighting, its all just fucked.
Anyway I will talk about why diffusing has a specific way of driving you nuts, but without comparing it to anything else as I find it ridiculous to say it's "worse" than being completely bald.
I think diffusing possibly gives you a better chance of developing BDD even past youth and into your 30s. As a result of never knowing where you stand, some days feeling totally bald, other days actually thinking you're somewhat of a full head. Some pictures looking completely passable as a guy with hair, other pictures under harsh lighting or sunlight where it's like seriously, where the f*** did that hair go?! Like there's literally nothing. What do people view me as?!
Of course it's normally an overreaction and that's the result of nervous BDD freak out where you distort your own reality. I've seen pictures of me months later where it's clear I'm diffuse under harsh lighting, but my initial view of that picture was that there was literally no hair at all, and I'd freak out and click away from that picture.
Don't get me wrong, as sh*t as it can be in distorting your own perception of yourself and how others perceive you, I'm taking good/bad days and good/bad feelings over a consistently sh*t "it's over" feeling.
Like I say, if being diffuse was really that much of a mind f*** I'd have shaved it by now.
The fact that this option is available to a diffused guy and he's not choosing it, but still makes the claim it's "worse" than full blown temple recession to total baldness, that simply makes no sense.
