Like many other members here, I have been lurking around on this website for a long time now. I came to this site almost everyday to check out the stories here, especially the "Success stories forum". I read and read and read a lot about hair loss and treatment. I have accumulated lots of useful information here (thank you all). Enough about that here is something about me: I am 25 years old, asian male. I started losing hair around 22 but like most of you here. I was in denial. I didn't pay too much attention to my hair back then because I had a lot of coverage even though my hair was falling out every day at a constant and slow rate. I remember I used to lose around 20-50 hair every day. I started paying attention to my hair last year when I first took a close look at the vertex
of my head. And let me tell you, I was destroyed, devastated, dismayed, discouraged, you know, all the negative feelings on the world. I am pretty sure most members here know the feelings. Anyway I started the treatment (Big 3) around 10/06 and I keep doing it until today.
My arsenal includes the following:
1/4 finast every morning
one application of minoxidil every night before bed
nizoral shampoo on Tues and Sat every week
500mg of Vitamin C every day
3000 mg of MSM every day
I do have male pattern baldness in my family. My father who is in his fifty lost almost all of his hair. My oldest brother suffered the same thing but at earlier age around twenty something. My other brother who is 2 year older than my is also losing hair at the moment.
I don't have the receding hairline thing. I just have the thinning vertex and the a little on the anterior of my head. I jumped on the Big3 in hoping that I could keep what I have and maybe a little regrowth. The result so far is very pleasing. I think I am successful at stopping my hair from falling out. I have the habit of running my fingers through my hair. Before, every time I did that, it's guaranteed that there would at least 2-3 hairs on my hand. But now that don't see hair on my hand any more. I did have some shedding when I started my treatment but everything has stabilized now.
Below are my pics at the moment. Let me know what you all think as far as Norwood, my treatment.....
