When I started my finasteride regimen, I was hoping to maintain, and maybe get a little more density in the front. I'm a Norwood 2, but could hide it really well. Now it has been just over 3 months, and I got a bit of a shock. When I got out of the shower last night and my hair was wet, I looked at the top and I could see the faint beginnings of a horeshoe. A f*****g horseshoe! I honestly don't think my hair has been in worse condition.
My question is: how long does it take until finasteride stops shedding. I doubt my hair would look any different right now if I had never even started the finasteride. I thought that once you started taking it, that it would at least stop you from losing more hair. Maybe I should switch to name brand - I'm on generic right now, and losing faith.
