I started using finasteride early December. Around the 3 weeks mark my libido skyrocketed and hair shedding went into overdrive. This isn’t some placebo observation I wore hairnets and recorded hair fall and data. Anyways this continued for about a month and a half and then suddenly it’s stopped.
Would it make sense to say that for some, cutting androgens up regulates sensitivity for a while then the body gives up and goes back down to normal or even downregulates sensitivity.
I mean why else do we experience increased libido only for that to completely go away and now I have to work really hard to get a hard on which also occurred at the same time my hair stopped shedding.
Propel used to say increased test is why causes the increased libido but if that’s as the case then it wouldn’t go away yet alone completely go away when on finasteride cause my test levels should either be normal or slight above base.
Idc about the libido thing.
But I am curious about peoples thoughts on this upregulation process.
