Thoughts On My Extreme Hrt Med Stack?

To start off I'm 22 years old and I've always had extremely thick hair and looking back started thinning when I was around 20. I've been on finasteride 1mg for 8 months and RU for 2 months and I've gone from a thick NW0 to a thinning Norwood 2. My hair is extremely important to me so I decided to add in .5mg dutasteride and 150mg oral spironolactone ED. It's been around 1.5 weeks and my hair is looking extremely thin.

I haven't had any big sides so far so I'm thinking about adding 25mg androcur 2x a week. It's my rational that if I'm going to cut off my test I should do it sooner rather than later. Before you attack me, I know how serious of a decision this is and I've done my research. I'm posting this because I wanted to reach out to other users who have tried aggressive regimens and ask for tips and their experiences.

Would appreciate some responses!

Thanks

Out of all the extremes you could try, why not try something like Choi which is currently about to be tested by the 1st group buy.

More and more young guys are doing these HRT aggressive regimes and have no idea what they're doing to themselves. By taking these drugs you will seriously f*** yourself in the long run.

Can can you post pictures of before you started Finasteride and now? It seems doubtful that you truly dropped two norwoods in 8 months while using Finasteride.

Younger men who bald usually seem to have underlying hormonal issues that have nothing to do with having high testosterone and usually have to do with hypogonadism/lower thyroid/hyperandrenalism. Lowering your testosterone even more is not helpful. The increase in 5AR is probably a way for the body to cope with the underlying hormonal imbalances in YOUNG men like yourself. Chemically castrating yourself is not only dangerous but also not helpful at all.

Did you get any labs?

Yeah all my levels came back normal. And in terms of hair loss, how can you say chemical castration is not helpful for hair loss when documented literature states the complete opposite?

I am not saying it won't prevent future hair loss I am saying it is extreme and dangerous and not getting to the root of the issue. It is like saying a baby is crying all night so I am going to throw the baby out the window. While it would stop the crying it would cause a lot more issues and all you needed to do was feed him!

I think the fact that it's extreme and dangerous is a fair point. But that analogy doesn't work for my problem. I have tried everything for my hair and nothing is really working. That's why I have gone this extreme. If finasteride and RU hasn't worked for me, what do you suggest will so easily?

I'm 20 mate, I want to try finasteride. I'm terribly afraid of becoming a diffuse thinner by getting on finasteride.

I'm not a doctor but I've never seen anyone post about diffuse thinning caused by getting on finasteride. If I were you I really wouldn't prolong waiting it off. You should start now

There's numerous threads regarding it, in fact, I've read two today. Have you ever heard of Morr-f? It's a Topical Finasteride, & according to government studies, it's safer than oral. Thinking of giving that a go. have you ever thought of the future in that there may never be anything to alternatively use to maintain, so all the gains that you have from finasteride would vanish?

Just wondering how you're contemplating using finasteride, maybe I'll find good reason.

Yeah of course, that's why I'm starting low dose hrt because I don't believe there are going to be any treatments in the future better to it. And I'm not contemplating taking finasteride, I've taken it for 8 months and I'm still thinning.

F*ck dude, this is so unfair. I guess 0.5mg it is, I know I can't deal with the current state of my hair, so I might as well use finasteride. I hope I don't add another problem to my slate. Thanks

Don't worry about it man, 1mg of finasteride is nothing. It only lowers scalp DHT by around 30% and serum DHT by 70% which is hardly anything. I'm on 1mg of finasteride + .5mg dutasteride + 200mg of oral spironolactone + RU and I can still get erections but I'm still thinning.

A lot of the guys hating on finasteride are just trying to spread fear. Sure, I'm not doubting some of them had bad experiences but 97% of guys are fine. When I started I asked my dermatologist about sides he said that none of his patients ever experienced them. It really is the vocal minority.
