Hey,20 yr old NW2 here, albeit probably not fully NW2, recession seems pretty slow but at the same time doesn't really show any signs of stopping. It may be a mature hairline coming into play

I'm currently using Nizoral and a homemade caffeine topical, though I plan on dropping the caffeine topical as I suspect it's doing **** all for my hair. I'm also on a pretty good high protein diet because I'm an amateur bodybuilder.

I want to avoid taking finasteride for as long as I can, and I don't want to ever take minoxidil as I'd rather shave my head than pay up the *** for something I have to take twice a day and could cause more hair to shed. (Maybe if the hair really goes down the ****ter I'll get on it lol)

I've read around and have decided on this more drug-free (not really) regimen. If after 6 months time my hair has gotten significantly worse I'll consider getting a scrip for proscar, though I am still pretty young and I don't want to mess up my development.
Heres what I plan on taking/doing:
Continuing Nizoral 2% shampoo 3x a week.
Biotin 4000mg a day
Multi-Vitamin w/ Vit E and Saw Palmetto
Aloe Vera gel topically 1x a day
Primrose Eve oil topically 1x a day
Jack off less
Stop stressing over dumb ****

So yeah lemme know. I'm starting to look like ****ing vegeta

kthxbi

keep on jacking off. it ain't gunna affect you in the slightest.

also, i'm 20 too - been on finasteride for a year and a half. minor brain fog and ball ache for a couple weeks when i first started, since then absolutely 0 sides.

Stop stressing over dumb ****

this is truly the best advice for overall well being, but also the hardest to implement. let me know if you discover any secrets to not stress over things lol

I guess a lot of people don't get sides. I just don't want to risk it at this point as I don't really feel that my hairloss so far is truly that out of the ordinary.

The best thing is to keep busy with things you enjoy doing, and doing your best to deal with your problems; that way even if you fail and have to face the consequences you tried and can't really get yourself too down about them. This is what works for me personally anyways, everyones different.
