I feel that the shampoo I've been using has helped quite a bit with thickening the hair shaft diameter and giving a much fuller appearence. It's called Diametress and it's made by Nexus. I always repeat too :D
Check my Regimen for other stuff too.

Loreal vive shampoo for men. Also when i apply gel i only style the tips of my hair so no gel is touching the roots....this way you dont have that wet hair look where you can see your scalp easily. This works well for me.i use Loreal Remix Paste for styling. This sh*t holds like no other, and is alittle thicker then normal gel

Personally I feel minoxidil + Retin-A is much more effective than minoxidil alone.
My tip is if you have not had good success with minoxidil alone, try Remox which is a minoxidil + Retin-A combo.

I saw an ad for Vive for Men on TV last night. And starts with a guy next to a dog and it's slightly obvious that he's balding. Before I even knew what he was selling I said to myself "holy sh*t they hired an actor who was balding!" Then he pitches "The difference is, when he sheds (motioning to the dog), it grows back." Then they say how loreal vive thickens hair up to 50% allowing for "better scalp coverage".

I'm sick of balding.

i agree with the couvre. . anyways. a good tip concerning dandruff while on minoxidil, etc.. is to buy neutrogena intensive anti flake dandruff control shampoo. best dandruff shampoo out. no other dandruff shampoo worked for me. bomb science you really should try couvre .. your hair isn't that bad and this would make it undetectable if you used it

I'm thinning at my widows peak, diffusely. I've noticed a few things:

1) Putting too much gel in my hair makes the thinning more noticeable to me, whereas if I just put a dab in, I can hardly tell.

2) oddly enough, when my hair gets longer than 1.5", I can also tell moreso than when it is short. But I wear the front of my hair sort of pushed together toward the middle, so that more hairs bunch toward the peak and cover it.

That's all I've got. But since it is cheaper to play with different styles, vs. different shampoos or whatever, I recommend giving it a try (much like the suggestion in the HairLossTalk.com newsletter).

Good luck guys.

If you guys want a great pomade, and if you can ever find this stuff, it's from Japan. Called "Fiber Grease" The salon i go to sends someone to Japan every so often to pick it up.
