I have read several posts regarding Hair multiplication on this board and that many of us long for its arrival. I certainly agree that it seems to be a kick *** solution to an *** kicking problem. However, it also made me think about if it’s worth maintaining my hair if I need to lose it again when the process becomes available.
If hair multiplication becomes readily available in let’s say 5 years (purely hypothetical) and you have maintained your hair with moderate success (or better), you would have to go through the painful process of letting all the maintained hair fall out to make room for the transplants (multiplied hair).
If you do not allow your hair that is maintained through various chemicals and medication to fall out, well, then you will be bound to the maintaining process for the rest of your life. In fact the less DHT affected hair you have at the date of your first HM procedure the better off you should be in the end. All your hair will be DHT resistant, kiss Propecia and Regain goodbye.
So the question is do we (I) maintain and re-grow as much as possible, while spending a considerable amount of time and money. Or, should we (I) let as much DHT affected hair as possible fall out to be a prime candidate when the process becomes available?
Just a thought, and thanks for a great forum//Thor
