Too scared to have a crack at finasteride again

I bought a pack of Propecia online and I am too scared to take .5mg a day just in case I get gynocasmastia again. Ten years ago I took 1.25mg finasteride a day and got gyno in the right nipple which was surgically removed.

As I have been on Minoxidil and 2% nizoral daily for over a year with no regrowth, as a last resort, my only option was to take a much lower dose of 0.5mg and if I experience any nipple itch/tingling then just quit. However I lasted only two days simply due to paranoia!

I have a few questions:

1. Is it likely that I will suffer from gyno again even with a lower dose of .5mg?
2. I was also planning to take an anti-aromatase, specifically DIM to reduce any excess estrogen caused by finasteride - anyone have any experience with this?
3. If Nizoral eliminates the "itch" - is it likely that finasteride will do anything extra for me?
4. Is it likely that finasteride will grow back totally bald NW3 temples (like Jude Laws)? I have a totally strong NW3 hairline, not just thinning temples!

Many thanks.

If the gyno was actually caused by the Finasteride, then it's likely that it's proportional to the amount of DHT it's blocking. Depends on how much DHT .5 mgs blocks vs. 1.25mg, and I don't know those numbers. You could take an estrogen blocker like Anastrozole, but messing with hormones to that degree is probably not a good idea. You could also try putting Proscar pills in the Minoxidil but there's no gaurentee that it'll be effective.

Oh and the itch could be caused by the mild fungal infection that most people have. Nizoral is an anti-fungal, so there's not necessarily any correlation with hair loss.
