hi, i want start to put some topical corticosteroid in the temples and a bit in the front. I read it could help by:
- reducing the inflammation
- increasing aromatase activity ( more estradiol in the follicle )
- mild anti dht

Now since im using other topicals i want to avoid at all cost the skin thinning.

Im not sure if try with Hydrocortisone or Bethamesone.
And how often apply it in the scalp, i read somewhere only twice weekly for 3 months and than stop for 3 months..
thanks in advance

I’m using hydrocortisone a couple of times a week and I pause for a week or two every couple of months. No problems or anything.

Hydrocortisone is very weak corticosteroid so I don’t think you have to worry if you’ll apply it only a couple of times a week.

It depends a lot on your skin. U have to be very careful with corticosteroids though. The more you use it the more dependent on it the skin becomes.

I use scalpicin. You can get it on ebay, its very cheap. I use 0.5ml -1ml each time I apply it with the dropper that comes with liquid minoxidil.

I buy the cream which is very cheap in my country. I mean if you apply it first or after minoxidil and how much time between both. I was thinking to apply 1 hour later but im afraid to wash out the topical which is dry but takes more hours to fully absorb

Yeah I would definitely first apply cortisone, wait a little bit and then minoxidil.

I just do rogaine foam in the morning and scalpicin in the evening when I apply it. Scalpicin is not a cream but just a serum, when it dries it actually leaves no residue or any smell which is great.

So dont you do rogaine in the evening ? Just scalpicin ?
I read somewhere to apply first minoxidil , wait 30 minutes to leave it dry and apply the cortisone..

Yeah I believe that's OK too.

I'm not using rogaine in the evening, just in the morning, once a day so I kind of avoid this problem.
