Maybe.

Everyone is different.

Well i think the main problem is that the DHT inhibitors aren't supposed to be known to really grow hair, unlike minoxidil. So if it's going to cause shedding, it makes me wonder if it is worth using for maintaining. I currently am on finasteride 1mg.

Anyone have any experience with shedding or no shedding when they added spironolactone?

Losing the hair isn't the issue. The hair not regrowing is the real problem. Even though you may go through a shed with a DHT inhibitor, rest assured that propecia works for most people and that you will maintain your hair count in the long run.

i was referring to the topical DHT inhibitors such as spironolactone, crinagen, and revivogen.

one thing i noticed on the propecia website was that of the people who took the placebo. 85% lost no hair in the mid-interior scalp, and 7% gained hair, and only 7% decreased in hair count. in the vertex it was less. 60% lost no hair, and 33% decreased in hair count.

it seems like the people in the studies didn't have very rapid hair loss.
