I'm fairly sure it would go systemic, and thus would be likely to cause side-effects such as gyno. Also, I doubt it would help to any significant extent as a treatment for male pattern baldness. I read somewhere that there is some evidence that estrogen may have some protective effects on the hair. However, if there are any beneficial effects of estrogen on the hair, it is hugely overpowered by the highly potent, damaging effects of DHT.

It will go systematic so it will pose potential side effects as feminizing, thrombosis etc. However it can work great as a growth agent. I wouldn't recommend it just due to the side effects though.

I would rather take dutasteride than estrogen on my scalp. T: E ration is even more critical, than taking finasteride. You get gyno overnight.

You're taking finasteride. finasteride + E = bad idea!
