Topical Finasteride Causing Hair Loss

In the past I tried taking finasteride internally (0.2 mg/0.5 mg/1 mg) but had sides every time. In October 2017 I used S5 cream and had disastrous results.

I've been using topical finasteride 0.1% in the AM for a bit longer than two months now. I lost some hair and I ascribed to a general shed. However I've been steadily losing hair for a while now. My hairline has also receded and I've noticed that my eyebrows are a lot thinner.

I take high dose minoxidil (10% or 15% depending) in the PM. I also use Nizoral 2% shampoo a few times a week. I've used minoxidil and Nizoral for a decade without incident.

Anyone in the same boat? Suggestions?

This is interesting. Does this indicate that it is affecting your thyroid in a bad manner? I mean the thinning eyebrows could indicate...are you getting side effects from the topical finasteride? Noticing anything different about your body since starting the topical finasteride?

I've had some mild sexual side effects since using the topical finasteride and I'm a bit more depressed now than I was.

I'm due for a check-up soon and I will have my Doctor check my thyroid.
