Hello all, I'm switching to topical finasteride as a last resort. I still recommend finasteride to everyone as a first line of defense, as it regrew my left temple hairs slightly and literally does work.

I'm just wondering, would 18ml ethanol, 12ml water, 30 ml PG and 15mg Finasteride work effectively at home, or is homemade finasteride not worth it? I can't afford to buy it online unfortunately. It would be 0.5mg per 2ml which is enough to cover my diffused scalp. I'd remove the film coating too. I wonder if anyone here has had success using topical. I'm not interested in minoxidil just yet or oral minoxidil either.

If u go on reddit theres many who claim good results from topical, heck even One guy switched from oral to topical and said he had better results. The reason for that would be that topical finasteride blocks more scalp dht than oral which is proven in studies, but topical finasteride easily goes systemic to an extent.

Thanks bro. I agree. I just meant if my homemade solution will work, regarding the ethanol, propylene glycol, Purified water shake and dissolve then a dropper.

Oral finasteride would've helped so so much lol. Even though I'm okay with one side having mild gyno, apparently it's dangerous having high estrogen levels for blood clots.

I'm having better results with topical than I did on oral for 14 years. I make my own with proscar and Kirkland min for a 0.025% concentration. I'm 3 months in and I can't believe it.
