I've used topical spironolactone in the past and got excellent results but bad headaches from using it. I used Dr Lee's cream and lotion and then made my own using E45 cream, but still got the headaches.
Recently I tried making my own topical finasteride and also got results but headaches as well (not as bad as the spironolactone ones). I made the finasteride by mixing the tablets in a tiny bit of vodka and then stirring the mixture into the E45 cream.
I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I don't know if I am getting an allergic reaction from the spironolactone/finasteride or from an ingredient in the creams/lotions (I am going to try using the E45 cream on its own to see if that might be the problem). Or maybe from the vodka? although I'm only using a tiny amount.
